The Art Farmer’s new collection of unique hand silkscreen printed wall
art was introduced at two national gift shows; The Chicago Gift & Home Market
in January 2005 and the New York International Gift Fair in early February 2005.
The collections each represent a different design style from vintage woodcuts
(Joe Bakuna) to mid-century graphics (Oshimoto)
to bright and playful kid prints (Lulu Moon)
and many contemporary casual designs under the Maroöshka
collection. The original designs are translated with a multi-step process to
silkscreens and printed by hand with soy based inks onto cotton and cotton blend
textiles that are stretched around hardwood frames, ready for hanging. Each
piece is printed with the collection name. Each collection offers mix and match
combinations of prints to address any size wall and any room style.
The Art Farmer offers retailers and consumers a place to find a varied collection
of exciting hand printed artwork from a craftsman with over 30 years of
silkscreen printing and screen development experience. And as evident from the
accumulating positive responses, hand produced prints are still greatly appreciated
and admired in this age of computer generated design and mass production techniques.
